Hello friends! I hope everyone’s Friday has started off wonderfully, and you’re excited for the coming weekend of diy projects, relaxation (hopefully!) and family fun 🙂

My weekend is already jam-packed and it hasn’t even started yet! But, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m definitely one of those people that stays happier when I am always buzzing around rather than just sitting down bored out of my mind. It always seems like I have a list of to-do’s anyway so it’s a good thing that I can’t sit still!

DIY Rustic Reclaimed Window Inspiration Board

Speaking of to-do lists, do you have an inspiration board to keep yourself motivated and inspired?

Recently I was cleaning out my daily binder and desk area, and I realized that I have been hoarding saving pictures, business cards, and random bits among many other things, but I didn’t have a place to really put them.

So, what do you do, or rather, what do I do? 😉 Well, make a beautiful and rustic reclaimed window inspiration board of course!
What do you need to make this beauty?
FOUR THINGS. Really, just four! A reclaimed window, heavy duty staples, chicken coop wire (aka. galvanized mesh hexagonal poultry netting) and hangers. Ok well, five if you count the scissors to cut the wire with too.
THEN, you can create this project in five minutes. Yes, five. There’s a whole bunch of fives going on today!
Got your window? CHECK!

Did you cut your wire so it fits over the window? CHECK!

Stapled it in place? Yes, ma’am!

Ok, turn that bad boy around, and add two hangers to… duh, hang it up. 🙂

Hangers added? CHECK, CHECK!!

Now, hang this sweet piece of funky junk magic onto your wall.

Last, but not least, add your inspiration with clips, twine, clothes hangers and whatever else makes you happier than a clam.

I’m not even sure how many years ago I wrote this down for myself, but I’ve kept this in my wallet for at least five (see–more fives!). You have no idea how happy to say that I am finally doing just this!

  1. I love your new inspiration board, so cute! I feel exactly like you do about weekends, I can’t wait for them to get here and I always have LOTS of projects planned. Lately it’s been laundry room related, thanks for your comment on my new laundry folding table!
