Hello friends! I hope everyone’s Friday has started off wonderfully, and you’re excited for the coming weekend of diy projects, relaxation (hopefully!) and family fun 🙂

My weekend is already jam-packed and it hasn’t even started yet! But, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m definitely one of those people that stays happier when I am always buzzing around rather than just sitting down bored out of my mind. It always seems like I have a list of to-do’s anyway so it’s a good thing that I can’t sit still!

Speaking of to-do lists, do you have an inspiration board to keep yourself motivated and inspired?

Recently I was cleaning out my daily binder and desk area, and I realized that I have been hoarding saving pictures, business cards, and random bits among many other things, but I didn’t have a place to really put them.

So, what do you do, or rather, what do I do? 😉 Well, make a beautiful and rustic reclaimed window inspiration board of course!
What do you need to make this beauty?
FOUR THINGS. Really, just four! A reclaimed window, heavy duty staples, chicken coop wire (aka. galvanized mesh hexagonal poultry netting) and hangers. Ok well, five if you count the scissors to cut the wire with too.
THEN, you can create this project in five minutes. Yes, five. There’s a whole bunch of fives going on today!
Got your window? CHECK!

Last, but not least, add your inspiration with clips, twine, clothes hangers and whatever else makes you happier than a clam.

I’m a HUGE advocate of supporting small businesses so I collect the bits and pieces that come along with my products. For instance, the below tag came with the original artwork I bought from Mae Chevrette (definitely check her out–she’s amazing!).
P.S. I displayed some of her gorgeous prints and the original piece on my studio reveal post!

I’m not even sure how many years ago I wrote this down for myself, but I’ve kept this in my wallet for at least five (see–more fives!). You have no idea how happy to say that I am finally doing just this!

I developed this crazy obsession with business cards/notes when I was in college, and these are just a few of my favorites. I just love how different they are from each other!

There are so many different ways you can use old windows. So, what do you guys think? I’ll definitely have more projects for you later on, and hope you have a wonderful week 🙂

Need more inspiration? Let me show you how I did it with these posts!

  1. I love your new inspiration board, so cute! I feel exactly like you do about weekends, I can’t wait for them to get here and I always have LOTS of projects planned. Lately it’s been laundry room related, thanks for your comment on my new laundry folding table! Tomorrow I’m working on hiding the electrical panel in that room, hope you’ll stop back by and see my progress now and then. :o)

    1. Hi Tania and thank you 🙂 My laundry room is one of those projects that I’m kind of dreading. It’s just a catch-all right now so I’m going to need to be very “creative” when I finally get started. Good luck and I’ll stop by soon!

    1. Hi Anne! I couldn’t agree more 🙂 I use them all the time, and sometimes have to refrain from using them in every room of the house! Thanks for stopping by!
